Trap Quest - Behind the Scenes

I've finish the latest stage of the other project I've been working and now I am working hard and heavy on a couple of new Fan Art scenes for Trap Quest.

Trap Quest - Another Update

I've been working on a project that's been taking a lot of time, but every so often I take a break from it to rest my fingers and eyes. Yesterday I took the whole day, which wasn't planned, and worked on another of the NPC's from Trap Quest.

Say hello to the Ninten Doll's.
(I actually think of them has "The Twins".)

They are a WIP has they still need some more tweaking.
I'm planning to use them in a couple of large Fan Art scene's.

Here's a couple of close up shot's of the Logo's.

The glow behind the logo is suppose to be partly transparent and it is in the original image has well has on the texture but for some reason, during rendering, it comes out solid.

It needs some more work. I had to rescale the original design to make it fit and during the rescale ...
I''m going to have to go in and clean up the edges.

Trap Quest - Update - Statue Room nears completion

In my last post I said I was going to hold off on finishing the Statues because I had to get back to work on another project. Interestingly enough, I could not focus on the other project so I return to work on the final two Statues.

I still have a little bit of work to do on her.

I'm not happy with the backgrounds behind them either. I wanted more of a see though look but every time I tried to add some transparentcery, the backgounds went really wacko.
( Yes, that IS a Technail term.)

Here is a couple of larger test renders.
Neither one has Environmental effects (lighting/shadows) added yet.


I still got to work on the glass panes in the doors. I got a specific idea for them but I am going to have to make some custom textures and transparentcies for them.


I loaded in the Throne room so I could get a better idea of how the final image is going to look. I also need to do something about the wall. I'm not sure what to do yet. I don't have a template for the object mesh. I have a utility that will make one for me but I still need to decide what I am going to do.

Trap Quest - More Updates

I've done four more of the Statues, which leaves me with two left to do.

The are all male.

Here's is a couple of test shots looking down into the Statue Room from the Throne Room.



Blue marble are male's, pink marble are female's and purple marble are shemale's.

Those kneeing are submissive's and those that are standing are Dominant's.

The last two statue's will be in the center of the room. One male and one female.
I'm holding off on doing those because I want them to be special.

Trap Quest - Update

Ok, it's been while since I poted anything h. The past couple of months has been....

Let's not go there.

I got a new Fan Art Image posted over on Deviant Art.


I finally gotten around to re-vampng the Princess Bed Chamber. 
I'm still not happy with it but it is getting better.
Also, I'm starting to use Subsurface Scattering (SSS) on my materials and using Shaders to swap out the original flat textures. I'm using more environment lighting has well.

Just has I re-vamped The Princess Bed Chamber, I've also revamped the Throne Room. Here is a couple of test shots.


I'm using the same Throne and platform has before but a different room setting.
I like the door behind the Throne.



The new room has a couple of windows in it which just will not do for an underground room so I converted them into mirrors. Here's a look at one of them and I have o say, it came out looking great.

I'm gong to add some additional objects to the decor, but I got to decide hat all I want to add. I'm planning to add a couple of pictures, maybe some plants. I've already added in a Chest and Sack.

After the Throne Room is the Statue Room. I've been working on it extensively. Part of the reason I change which room prop I was originally using for the Throne Room is I found a two room prop that works great for this combo in my archives. 

It's taken a lot of work to convert the original textures to the SSS setting and Shaders I am using now but it's been well worth the effort. 


Here's a Sack sitting on the bottom step of the stairs that lead down from the Throne Room to the Statue Room.


And let's not forget the Chest.
You can see one of the plants I got filling in the decor.

Although yu can not tell from those two image', you can actually look up into the Throne Room from the Statue Room and vice versa.

Now what's a Statue Room without Statues?

Actually, it has 6 statues, each different then the rest.







There will be 12 statues in all.
One more female and the rest pure male.

Still Around


Enough about the headaches, lets get onto something more important like Trap Quest.

I'm still having trouble with the Cum layers for my custom Skin for Trap Quest.

On the up side, I can now do the Male Gentials. I was having trouble before because I am using a female body mesh for the base for my custom skins and the male gen's mesh for her male counterpart would not properly mesh together. Before anything thinks, well, then use the male body mesh, that wouldn't work because then I would not be able to do breast's. I guess I could have used both but then I would get into problems matching texture's and editing images so they would merge smoothly, more trouble then I wanted to go though or needed to go though. I finally got my hands on the information needed to merge the male gens mesh properly with the female body mesh so it would be smooth and seamless. Now the only problem is texturing it so it matches the body, which is a headache but still less trouble then doing it any other way.

I'm not very happy with her outfit. The cape is fine but I'm not happy with her skirt. I'm still going though everything I have looking for things to install. I already have an idea for full Fan Art scene bouncing around in my head.


Here's another NPC I've been wanting to do but hasn't because I just did not have what I needed installed.  I'm very happy for the most part on how this 2nd try at her came out, the first was a disater and and stop. She still needs a lot of work.


Slime Girl


She is still a work in progress.

She didn't come out the way I envision her, but I still think she came out great. I took several hours to render this final image. The system kept shutting down on me. I finally figured out way. The mesh objects and texture settings I used are very resource intensive and it was really pushing the CPU/GPU setup I am currently using to the edge and the system was shutting down due to the excessive heat.. I've had to make some changes which has slowed down the rendering process but has lower the heat production. Because of this, rendering has been slowed down considerabily.

Trap Quest - More Room's & More Fan Art

I've been checking out some more of my set's and here is what I've got so far.

Lake


Although it is more tropical then forest, I think this set will work great. It will not be that hard to switch out the palm's with pine's, fir's, oak's, etc etc etc.

I've settle on this set for the Hotel Dining Hall. I still got to go in and add food dishes.


Here's a test scene I did. It'll look better once I find my pet's collection and change the bucket's over to doggie dishes.

Trap Quest - Room's

Ok, I decided it was time to sit down and make a few decision's. Specificly about set's to use in my Fan Art Scene's. This came about because I just got done installing some more content into Studio and most of it is room set's.

So I started to sort though what I had install, picking and choosing what set I will use as a base for each room. Whenever I found one which look like it had possibilites I loaded it up, did a test render and had a look. I liked what I saw, I resaved it in a new location reserved for my Trap Quest scene files.

Here is some of those test renders.

Dungeon - Bunk Room


I will need to change the texture's on the wall's and find my bunk bed prop's, but I think this will work out very well. The only thing I do not like is the skylight in the ceiling. I have idea's for it though.

Dungeon - Apothecary


I really like the look of this room and I think it will make a great set for the Apothecary room.
I have considered making the library but I have a library set which I have not checked out yet.

Dungeon - Catacombs or Ritual room



I really like this room set. I think it will work just great for either the Catacombs or Ritual room. I'm leaning towards using it for the Ritual room myself. Hopefully I can find my crypt set's in the mess of my archive's.

Forest - Dungeon Exit


Here's my take on the exit from the Dungeon level's of the game. It still needs a lot of work but I think it is a good beginning.

Last, I have a new image of the Aeromancer.


I was never happy with the first one I did and finally went back and did some tweek 's to her.I change her pose, her hair, and use some different shader's on her clothing. I'm still not happy with her though think she does look a little better then she did.

I have a larger image of her with some additional change's posted on Devinat Art.
